The Centre for Open Studies (formerly DACE) offers many and varied learning opportunities including day events, short courses, certificated courses and Access to university study. We offer an exciting range of daytime and evening part-time classes on campus including Egyptology, US history and international affairs, geology, marine mammal biology and psychology to name a few. The Greek School of Glasgow is established within the premises of the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St. Luke. In addition to the Primary School that has been operating for the last 50 years, it has been offering for the last 6 years classes in Modern Greek for Adults at beginner, intermediate or advanced levels on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. In addition, the School is an accredited examination centre for the State Certificate of Attainment, the only one in Scotland and one of only two in the UK. The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of St Luke, 27 Dundonald Road, Dowanhill, G12 9LL. Members of the Society are welcome to the Sunday services: Matins commence at 9.30 am followed by the Divine Liturgy at 11.00 am, finishing around 12.30 pm, unless followed by a memorial or celebration service. The congregation then gathers at the Church Hall, where tea and coffee, together with a selection of home baked cakes and biscuits, are served. Vespers every Thursday evening from 6.30-7.15 pm (excluding Thursdays before, during, and after Easter Day). Services are held in English on the first Sunday of every month.
