Scottish Hellenic Society (Glasgow)

Welcome to the new session of the Scottish Hellenic Society.  We hope you will enjoy the talks the Committee has arranged for this session and that you will be able to attend regularly.  Our venue for session 2024/25 is St. Andrew's Building (Education), Room 218, University of Glasgow, 11 Eldon St (off Gibson St), Glasgow G3 6NH (see image below). Non-members are also welcome to participate, but please do let our Secretary know in advance by e-mail.

The Society’s lecture meetings are usually held on Tuesdays at 7.30 except for the Opening meeting in October when we start at 7.00pm. The AGM in April also begins at 7.00pm. We normally hold a Vasilopitta evening at a Greek taverna in Glasgow in early January close to the Day of Epiphany.

This session the subscriptions are £20 for full members (free for students/unwaged); this fee is reinstated for this current session 2024/25.

The lecture programme is set out in summary at the sidebar to the left of this page and in detail under the session's tab above.

We look forward to seeing you in the coming session.
